Christoph Brunner is an independent arbitrator, counsel and legal expert based in Bern / Switzerland. After having practiced dispute resolution for more than 25 years at major Swiss and leading international arbitration firms, he founded brunner.arbitration in 2022.


Christoph Brunner has a broad range of experience, both as counsel and arbitrator, in more than 110 international commercial arbitrations governed by various institutional and ad hoc rules, under numerous substantive laws. His range of expertise covers M&A, joint ventures, construction / infrastructure projects, sales, distribution, agency and licensing contracts and commercial contracts in general.

Christoph Brunner has acted as presiding arbitrator, sole arbitrator, party-appointed arbitrator, counsel, and legal expert in more than 110 international commercial arbitrations governed by various institutional and ad hoc rules. He has acted as arbitrator under the substantive laws of, inter alia, Switzerland, England, France, Germany, Sweden, the UAE, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain, California, and under the CISG.

Dominique Koevoets

Dominique Koevoets is a Swiss-qualified lawyer, specialising in international commercial arbitration and litigation, with a solid background in contract law and international private law. She has experience as arbitral secretary and counsel in a number of ad hoc and institutional arbitration proceedings, e.g., under the ICC, Swiss and UNCITRAL Rules, encompassing a variety of sectors. She joined brunner arbitration as an associate in 2023, after having been a trainee lawyer and junior associate with Peter & Kim since November 2020.

Prior to joining Peter & Kim, she gained academic and professional experience working as a research and teaching assistant at the University of Bern in the Criminal Law Department and the Institute of Roman Law.

 

She graduated with a Master of Law (2020, summa cum laude) and a Bachelor of Law (2018, magna cum laude) from the University of Bern and a Master of Arts in Dutch language and literature (2009, first class honours) in the Netherlands, where she worked as a teacher at a public and later a private college for a total of 8 years.

HOW SECURE IS YOUR DATA?

We use technical and organizational measures to protect your data against manipulation, loss, destruction or unauthorized access by third parties. When you visit our website, the SSL encryption method is used. Your data is stored on the LawDesk cloud solution, which is operated on behalf of Weblaw AG by SmartIT Services AG in Bern, Switzerland, with servers located in Switzerland. The data from our email accounts is stored in the M365 Cloud in Switzerland. We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the mandate, or as long as it is required by legal retention and documentation obligations, or when we have a prevailing private or public interest in doing so.


YOUR DATA WHEN MAKING INQUIRIES

This data policy applies to inquiries of a general nature or related to the execution of orders or legal mandates, even if no contractual or mandate relationship is established. The customary confidentiality in attorney-client correspondence is not guaranteed in email correspondence. We assume that individuals communicating via email consent to this form of communication and thereby agree to the use of emails to respond to inquiries.
